My Shopping Cart: Lulu's, Madewell, Steve Madden, and Urban Outfitters

Online shopping speaks to me...no driving, gas, parking validation, crowds and dressing rooms (I loathe dressing rooms). I'm constantly loading up my virtual shopping cart with "I wish I could afford this" items. Then empty it when I snap back to reality. My number one rule when shopping online is NEVER, EVER buy full price items (unless its already dirt cheap).

Here's the list of steals I got this week...
(P.S. I'm obsessed with Lulu's. I've never shopped this store before. I discovered a Lulu's piece on one my favorites bloggers A Beautiful Mess. Very trendy and very reasonable. CZECH it.)

Dinner For Two Coral Red Shift Dress $40. Can't wait to sport this at a wedding this weekend. I'm obsessed with long sleeve dresses.

Madewell
Vintage Rocker Cords. Originally $89.50, on sale for $19.99! I can't always afford Madewell so I almost shed a tear when they still had my size on this sale item. I've been dying for a pair of super-bellbottom cords. Can't wait til fall!

Steve Madden
Steven by Steve Madden Women's Stalker Slingback Pump. Originally $85 (I think), I got them for $39.97 on Amazon. I first laid eyes on these puppies in Nordstrom Rack a couple months ago for $70.They fit like a glove in store, but had some wear and tear on the heel so I decided to pass them up. I've been dreaming about them since and landed a hell of a deal. I guess patience really is a virtue.
Ecote Wood Peep-Toe Slingback Sandal. Originally $59, on sale for $24.99. Such a great summer sandal.  I love a heel I can wear to work and successfully climb stairs in.

The Ear Cuff

Someone somewhere got uber creative. The ear cuff is my latest obsession.  I'm not a huge fan of chandelier earrings, or anything that is excessively sparkly hanging from my ears. I try really hard to get into this staple accessory, but find myself wasting money and doting bare lobes. The ear cuff may be the answer to my prayers.

I'm in the midst of creating some of my own, but here are few that trigger my creative juices. People are so darn creative! Bravo people, bravo.

Stay tuned for some of my own designs!

Rain, rain go away and Coachella Fever

I adore the rain, but there is something about getting teased with 75+ degree Cali beach weather that makes me crave sunscreen smell and bikinis. To hold me over while I lull at the office longing to bask in the sun (and go into depression about missing Coachella), I decided to post about what I'm most looking forward to in fashion in the upcoming months. Guess this is also a wish list for what could have been an amazing trip to Coachella. Sigh.

I say if you're going to a festival in the coming weeks, pack staple pieces that breathe, sunglasses that actually block the sun and a vintage grunge tee that screams rock n' roll. I ordered the pieces from head-to-toe.
Give your hair some pizazz, with a statement head piece.
I can't help but think Elton John when I see this style on the street. Wish this style of sunnies looked better on me!

Layering jewelry is a must this summer. Try shopping a local flea markets to find something handmade and one-of-a-kind like these crystal hoops.
Cropped tops (especially crocheted ones) and maxis are perfect for the beach, festival or carnival.
Fringe suits. Enough said. I even think it could pass for a bra top.
Graphic Tee
Last year ombre became the "it" hair style, and has now transcended into clothing. I call it, chic Tye-dye (cause let's face it, that's pretty much what it is). I adore this Venus Ombre Fringe Vest from Spanish Moss Those leather shorts are fab too.
Monochromotic styling is definitely a must (though this particular mod look is a little fancy pancy for Coachella). This mint color is totally trending too. Alice and Olivia Mint Cuff Short.
If you aren't wearing some combination of high-waisted, cut-off, studded, dyed jean shorties to a festival, then I don't if you'll be making many friends. I'll actually be creating my own studded, ombre shorts this weekend! More to come on that.
I'm HORRIBLE at painting my nails and it just happens to be one of the biggest trends out there right now. My fav polish strip from Sally Hansen is "Tribal-on It"
Druzy had me at hello. This druzy ring is a steal on Etsty.

Go hippie, or go home. Who knew feet could look so awesome? Snag a Aya Omura Crochet Foot Tie at Free People.
